Punting on the river Cam

A punt is a flat-bottomed boat which does not have a keel, and is propelled by means of a long pole. Punts were introduced as pleasure craft in Edwardian times, since then punting has become one of the most popular ways to see the famous bridges and colleges along the River Cam.

Bila ke Cambridge, selain daripada melawat bangunan kolej-kolej yang menjadi sebahagian daripada University of Cambridge, aktiviti menaiki 'punting' juga popular di sini..
Laluan 'punting' ini turut merentasi kawasan kolej-kolej yang terdapat di sepanjang sungai Cam.

dari pemahaman saya, 'punting' ni tak menggunakan dayung lah ekk ? sebaliknya menggunakan galah yang panjang. kalau sungai tu airnya terlampau dalam, camna pulak ekk ?

Bila mereka menggunakan galah.. maknanya dasar sungai tidak terlalu dalam dan boleh dicapai oleh galah.. kalau dalam tuh.. rasanya kena guna dayung lah kot ;)
